Robert Bucher, Esq.

Robert Bucher is a Senior Associate at Murphy Sanchez, focusing his practice on insurance subrogation and general casualty defense matters nationwide. He offers a comprehensive perspective on subrogation drawing from his experience with both the prosecution and defense of various claims.

Robert has expertise in all aspects of subrogation, from pre-suit investigation and claim evaluation, through resolution and trial. He understands the complexities involved in working with carriers and their insureds and seeks results that make the most sense for his clients. Robert takes advantage of all the tools at his disposal, often utilizing early negotiation, motion practice, mediation, and other forms of dispute resolution to resolve matters without the time and expense of trial. He has experience handling a variety of cases concerning workers’ compensation, construction defect, fire, product liability, and fire suppression system claims. Robert maintains a national practice frequently appearing in cases pro hac vice across the United States. He is admitted in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Robert was selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Star list in 2024 and 2025. He was also recognized for his volunteer work with the Support Center for Child Advocates receiving the Rising Star Award in 2022. Robert lives outside of Philadelphia with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys the great outdoors, playing soccer, and spending time with his family.
