Ms. Berend manages subrogation cases from inception to resolution. With a background in family law, estate planning, probate, and insurance defense, she brings a well-rounded legal foundation to her work in subrogation, a field she was drawn to for its complexity and detail-oriented nature.
Her transition to the plaintiff’s side was motivated by a desire to advocate more directly for clients and a strong interest in product liability. She earned her J.D. while working full-time in the legal field, gaining hands-on experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, and law clerk. A dedicated student, she consistently made the Dean’s List and maintained her academic scholarship throughout law school. She holds a B.A. in History from Texas Tech University and is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. She is also working toward admission in Rhode Island.
Outside of work, Ms. Berend is an avid sports enthusiast and a devoted basketball fan, especially when it comes to college hoops. Since moving to New England five years ago, she has embraced local sports culture and even picked up snowboarding.
